# Brainmox

## What it is

Brainmox is a managed cloud service. You hire an agent through a short wizard (role, then a shortlist
of candidates with full résumés), and it keeps its name, personality and memory from then on. Data is
kept in isolated per-customer storage; credentials live in an encrypted vault; secrets are scrubbed
from logs and tool output; every action is recorded in an audit trail. Tools can run in our cloud or
on your own computer, your choice.

## Core capabilities

- **Persistent memory** — a searchable per-agent knowledge base of people, projects and decisions, built from your conversations and from documents you upload. It is retrieved automatically, not on request.
- **Real identity** — one hired agent with a fixed name, face and background, not a fresh session every time.
- **Google Workspace** — Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Sheets, Docs and Contacts, connected per account with read-only or full access.
- **Channels** — talk to your agent in the web app, the macOS/Windows/Linux desktop app, Telegram or Slack, plus WebSocket and webhook for developers.
- **Work tools** — web search and page fetching, a real browser, files and shell, Python, PDF reading and creation, Office documents, image generation.
- **Mission Control** — a kanban board of your agent's work with plans, due dates, deliverables, approvals and autonomy settings.
- **Scheduling** — recurring or one-off jobs (cron, intervals, or a specific time) delivered back to the conversation they came from.
- **Voice** — hold-to-talk speech input in chat; voice messages in Telegram.
- **Permissions** — per-agent limits on commands, file read, file write and browser access.

- Brainmox is a hosted service operated by CloudAid Inc. It is not a local or offline AI product, and it is not self-hosted. Only the tool runtime can optionally run on the customer's own machine.
